CLIC Project

The CLIC Project
The Community Liaison & Integration Co-ordination (CLIC) pilot project aims to improve the health and well-being of ex-offenders and their families and reduce re-offending rates.
The CLIC project will assist prisoners from Winchester prison moving into the Winchester and Test Valley areas to achieve a safe and sustainable lifestyle by providing appropriate intensive support and care.
Housing and employment are important to a sustainable lifestyle. The project will work closely with training organisations, employers, housing providers, public, employment health and other services, to ensure the best possible chance of successful resettlement.
The unique CLIC project stands apart from currently available floating support and drug/alcohol focused support as it has an inclusive, holistic approach, covering all areas that need to be addressed. The support will begin prior to release and continue as long as is needed.
The CLIC Project is a pilot project which has been developed because of a need identified by Winchester Health for All, in collaboration with the Mid-Hants PCT & HMP Winchester. It will be run by Westgate Support + Care, a division of Winchester Housing Group.
The CLIC Project is part funded by the EXODUS Development Partnership which is itself part funded by the European Social Fund under the Equal Community Initiative Programme. It is also funded by Winchester City Council and Test Valley Borough Council.
